Visconti Ponte Vecchio Collection

The Visconti Ponte Vecchio Collection

The Visconti Ponte Vecchio Range (fountain pen, pencil and ballpoint) was created and produced in 1995 to celebrate the 650th Anniversary of the world famous bridge in Florence, Italy.

The Ponte Vecchio Series comprised 3 different colour scheme pens (Adriatic Stone, Pompeii Blue and Silver Granite) and all have become true classics.  These pens are made of celluloid sheets over acrylic structures with gold-plated trim using a cartridge/converter ink system. The band and the clip are engraved to honour Benvenuto Cellini, the most revered Florentine goldsmith whose statue stands at the centre of the bridge.

The nibs on these pens ranged from gold-plated steel to 18kt solid gold nibs.

The dimensions of the fountain pen are - length: 13,5 mm & weight: 21,3 g

The difference between the lowest and highest prices can be due to such factors as the state of preservation, the provenience, the reputation of the seller, the "quality" of the advert, the complete authenticity of the pieces, and the completeness of the offer as such (case, documentation, converters, ink accessories, etc.). Every collector should be fully aware of the difference between selling prices and purchase prices, and between passion and investment.
